NOMADgardens: Growing Local Support
Join
NOMADgardens
as we grow local support for
a ‘roaming’ community garden in Mission Bay.
NOMADgardens activates vacant lots for neighborhood use to help Mission Bay residents (gardeners, artists and social butterflies) grow their own food near their homes, learn new skills, have a place to informally meet with neighbors, and improve the residential feeling in Mission Bay with a nomadic transportable garden, event and workshop space.
Join NOMAD at The Ramp to show your support and enjoy a festive evening at the waters edge. Tacos and beer will be provided. Please note this event is 21+.
Our group of gardeners, designers, engineers, and, most importantly, friends enjoy participating in community building projects. The money earned from your attendance will go to building 12 plots to start the pilot project. This project reinforces our larger mission of establishing citizen-sustained communities. Your support will also help us launch a Kickstarter campaign in the near future.
NOMADgardens is currently competing in the Good Maker Summer Challenge.
